Major Projects in Yorkshire
Across the country there are nine major projects planned within the Cultural Olympiad programme. Below you’ll find details of the projects taking place in the Yorkshire region.
Film Nation
Film Nation will launch on Monday 22 March 2010 in London, unveiling activity organised by three strands - Making, Watching and Understanding - with delivery emphasis on youth engagement, inclusion and nation reach. Project partners will deliver projects with UK Film Council acting as central co-ordinator and link to LOCOG
Unlimited
Unlimited is the Cultural Olympiad Major Project celebrating disability arts and culture.
A major part of the programme are a series of commissions to support high quality work from disabled artists and producers. The first round of commissions closed early January - watch out for the announcement of the result of this first round in March to see whether any Yorkshire artists have been awarded commissions.
The closing date for the second round is 12th October 2010
