Step Up Bradford
Movement and dance provided a strong theme for this exciting event, which will take place right in the heart of the city, amongst the café bars and restaurants in Centenary Square and around the Big Screen area. Starting on Friday evening and running till late Saturday, this free event included circus and aerial events and a stunning performance by internationally renowned Strange Fruit from Melbourne.
Be Part of Yorkshire’s 2,012 !
Be part of Bradford’s biggest ever outdoor dance…As part of Step Up Bradford and celebrating Yorkshire’s Olympic hopes for 2012, internationally renowned choreographer Luca Silvestrini created a simple dance routine with a few quirky moves, each inspired by an Olympic sport. Although it was easy to learn, it looked and felt amazing with 2,012 people doing it at once. Participants even found themselves dancing alongside Yorkshire’s very own Olympic athletes!
Electric Field
A quest to transform matter and transcend the laws of nature combine with a trip to a local beauty spot in a strange and beautiful narrative which literally moves audiences, staging the story in both indoor and outdoor locations. The audience was confronted by electro magnets, compressed air, old fridges and a host of hobbies, sports and leisure pursuits.
